Quiet Riot Condition Critical

Here I am again a few decades+ later reviewing an album that I should have given more of a chance when it originally came out. I really liked Metal Health which is a fairly solid album that includes the mammoth title track (with an awesome video)! But by the time Condition Critical came out, Quiet Riot had had the first #1 metal album ever and they were now everyone’s favorite band. They chose to follow the same formula with the second album by covering another Slade song and releasing the so-so Party All Night as another single. Despite buying the cassette as soon as it came out, I started to lose interest in the band and did not listen to it much. Fast forward a few decades and I have to say that the album includes some great songs like Sign Of The Times, Stomp Your Hands, Winner Takes All, Condition Critical, and Red Alert. As one reviewer wrote, it is as good as the first album and I agree. The year 1984 was a great year for metal!!!
